Departure towards the little village of Bouliac, southeast of Bordeaux.
There, you will enjoy a short guided tour of the village. Nicknames "Bordeaux's balcony" because of the great panoramic view it offers, Bouliac has attracted the finest gourmets, food lovers and the French Art de Vivre lovers for a long time. Discover quaint boutiques, cafés and bistros before proceeding to the Relais Château Saint-James, haven of peace, circled by vines and nestled next to a charming Roman Church, within a ten-acre park and vineyard. Built from a 17th-century winegrowing charterhouse, the Michelin-awarded restaurant and the 18-room Relais Château, inspired by traditional tobacco dryers, were designed by the French architect Jean Nouvel in the 1980s. In this unique environment, you will attend a cooking class in the Relais Château Saint James restaurant's special cooking school. During this class, the instructor will share with you the secrets of the French traditional cuisine, registered as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. Centered on a specific seasonal product or ingredient, each themed class is your chance to practice the professional techniques that will make it possible for you to reproduce the recipes at home. The service includes a hands-on class with preparation of a starter and a main course. After sharing a memorable French cuisine experience, you will relax and savor the fruit of your labors during an on-site tasting of the two dishes cooked, paired with a dessert, a glass of wine and coffee.
