Excursion Half day in grand bassam tour at Abidjan

Take a morning to explore key sites in historic Grand-Bassam, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the first capital of the country. Grand-Bassam was chosen by UNESCO as an example of a late 19th- and early 20th-century colonial town planned for Europeans and Africans.


Make a visit to the historic Royal Court, the French colonial district, and the Ivory Coast National Museum of Costume. There is also time to see the craft center with artist work on display, and the Binger Palace, home to the first colonial governor.


See the Ariane Monument, symbolizing yellow fever epidemic disease during the colonial period. On the way back, stop at Assoyam for refreshments before returning to the pier.
