Discover Rome's highlights with a panoramic journey through the Eternal City, the world's biggest open air museum. Rome is without a doubt one of the most beautiful cities in the world with modern and ancient side by side. It is one of the most photogenic cities too when you think of what you can see; The Vatican, St. Peter's Square and the Colosseum, just to name a few.

Depart the pier in Civitavecchia by coach for the 90-minute transfer into Rome. Upon arrival, begin a panoramic exploration of the Eternal City's highlights. Pass the Colosseum, Circus Maximum, and St. Angelo Castle, S. Maria Maggiore Basilica, Via Veneto, Villa Borghese before arriving at Saint Peter's Square.


In the Square, you will have approximately 45 minutes of free time to further explore the area before re-joining your guide to begin the 90-minute return transfer to Civitavecchia and your awaiting ship.

Please note: This tour offers a transfer into Rome with a panoramic highlight drive through the city, followed by some free time to explore independently. Walking is at each guest's discretion; however, all guests must disembark the coach and make their own way to the pick-up location, a short distance away. This tour is suitable for guests with limited mobility and those who utilise a wheelchair, able to embark/disembark the coach via steps. Many local venues are not wheelchair accessible. If Guests wish to visit St. Peter's Basilica, please note there are approximately 40 steps. Proper attire that covers shoulders and legs must be worn by both men and women in St. Peter's Basilica: mini-skirts, shorts and capri pants are not acceptable. In addition visitors are often required to check large bags, video cameras and bottled water at designated checkpoints. You might encounter considerable crowds and lines at St. Peter's Basilica. Be aware that the Basilica might close for security reasons at any given time without advance notice. Please be aware that ongoing restoration work is often being carried out at the various venues visited. Your guide will provide specific instruction on meeting time and place for the return to the ship; it is each guest's responsibility to be at the pre-determined location on time. Guests who do not re-join the coach will be responsible for their independent return transportation to the ship. Please note the tour order may vary due to traffic or local conditions, but will cover the entire scheduled itinerary. Due to the latest events, please note that more accurate security controls should be expected at the various sites visited.

Due to new traffic regulations in Rome, big motor coaches have limited access around city center. Therefore, additional walk will be required for guests to access the main venues. This tour utilizes an audio system that provides guests with headset units to use during the course portion of the tour. These units will assist the users with hearing the narration provided by the guides. Units are to be returned at the conclusion of the tour program. Guests are responsible for headsets provided. The headset company will charge 50.00 Euro for each missing device. Guests will receive emergency contact numbers.
