Excursion Return to paradise beach resort tour at Apia

Discover the beauty and wonder of Return to Paradise Beach in Lefaga which is located on the south west coast of Upolu Island on this half day city tour. Return to Paradise Beach received its name after Hollywood location scouts discovered it and was the main stage for the 1953 Hollywood movie starring Gary Cooper and Roberta Haynes. Samoans have always had love affair with this particular beach as it is simply spectacular.

Depart the pier and embark on a scenic drive to Return to Paradise Beach Resort. The route is dotted with tropical gardens that are well manicured and full of vibrant colours. You will also see equally magnificent churches with designs you've probably never seen before. Add to the mix the plantations of taro, breadfruit trees, and fruit trees in lush surroundings and always with the mountains as a backdrop.

Return to Paradise Beach Resort opened in 2013 by the Prime Minister of Samoa and is looked upon as a place that was built upon love. So many wonderful stories of achievement and empowerment have resulted from the inception of Return to Paradise Resort. Prior to the resort's existence the unemployment rate at the district of Lefaga was around 60 to 70%. The locals came together to help build the resort and created employment for many. When you visit Return to Paradise Beach, you're not really visiting a resort but rather you're being hosted by the extended family who own this cultural land for over three thousand years.

Complimentary activities have been arranged exclusively for Silversea guests: you can choose between a snorkeling trip at the Giant Clam Sanctuary, an easy swim from the beach will allow you to see dozens of these amazing, colorful animals. Snorkeling gear is provided. Altenatevely, try out Reef Fishing, local style! Or simply enjoy the beach, the sun, or a beach-volley match!

At the conclusion of the tour re-board your vehicle for the approximate 45 minute drive back to the pier.

Please Note: This tour requires a moderate amount of walking of up to 620 yards (1860 feet) with 10 steps to manage at the entrance of the resort over sometimes paved and sometimes sandy terrain. We recommend guests wear light comfortable clothing, comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, hat, sun protection, bathing suit and towel from the ship.
