The Jacobs Hoeve Farm
Begin your excursion with the approximately half an hour bus drive through the beautiful Dutch landscape on your way to The Jacobs Hoeve, the farm where Henri Willig started making cheese in 1974. Upon arrival at the cheese farm, enjoy a guided tour through the property. Visit the eco-friendly stables, where you can see, pet and smell the farm’s Jersey cows. Cows are treated in a very special way: they are milked when they wish, fed organic food and have plenty of room to lie in a thick layer of straw. The cows and the barn are a wonderful example of environmentally responsible and animal-friendly farming.
Cheese Farm, Cheese Making Demonstration and Tasting
After visiting the barn, visit the cheese farm. During a cheese demonstration, learn how cheese was made by hand. Conclude with a taste of numerous types of Henri Willig cheese. Experience how the Henri Willig organic cheese product is made from land to consumer.
Organic Meal
Following your farm visit, enjoy a delicious 4-course organic meal. The products are all carefully chosen by the chef himself and consist of all biological products produced in the farm or sourced locally.
Your experience concludes with the 30 minutes’ drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking at times over uneven ground and including some steps. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Warm, comfortable clothing, flat, closed-toe walking shoes and, a rain coat are recommended.
