Argentinean Beef

Argentina's passion for beef is something that dates back to the very beginnings of the country's history, when the Spanish conquerors introduced cattle in these new territories .The excellent conditions led wild cattle to multiply, and also later provided an improved quality of meat among the British breeds of cattle (Angus, Hereford and Shorthorn) that would be imported the following century. The key to their remarkable success? The huge open plains of the pampas with their ideal climate and fertile soil.

Asado

From the times when nomad gauchos unsheathed their knives by the open fire at mealtime watching the beef grill up to our days, the asado has turned into a ritual that runs through the geography and all of Argentine society. Two of the defining elements that identify Argentina: the asado as social ritual, and the country's devotion to beef.
