Mt. Pleasant

Depart the pier for the scenic drive through parts of Port Elizabeth, the island's only town, and up to Mt. Pleasant for marvellous views of your ship, the Caribbean Sea and the surrounding Grenadine Islands.


Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary

Next, proceed up the Atlantic Coast to the Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary. En route, take in alternating views of the beautiful ocean and floral scenery along the roadside. Mr. Orton G. King, owner of this Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary, has spent most of his time tending to his precious and endangered Hawksbill turtles. During your visit, learn about these ancient denizens of the deep and the sanctuary's conservation efforts.


Hamilton Fort and Shopping

Your tour continues with a brief stop at the 18th-century Hamilton Fort, followed by a visit to a local fabric screen printing company. Here, observe the production stages leading up to the finished product. Upon arrival back in Port Elizabeth, browse the colourful vegetable market and souvenir stalls. The rest of the time is at your leisure, as this area is within 100 feet (30 metres) of your ferry tender and departure point.
