Excursion Senegalese cooking experience tour at Dakar

Cooking Class and Lunch

This cooking tour is operated in partnership and involves some of the most well-known Culinary schools in all of Dakar. Guests will be guided by experienced Senegalese "Chefs' and will have the opportunity to prepare one of the Senegalese National Dishes. This tour departs the cruise pier mid-morning and heads to the cooking school. On arrival, meet the Head of the Culinary school who will brief you on the Senegalese cooking session. Guests will be advised about the dish they will be cooking and the preparation involved. The preparation and cooking process will take a couple of hours, after which your special Senegalese National dish will be ready.

Enjoy lunch, the meal you prepared and cooked under the guidance of the expert Chefs at the Culinary school. The visit ends with a talk and debriefing from the Head of the Culinary Team. You will all receive the recipe of the dish you prepared and cooked before you depart and drive back to the Dakar cruise pier.

Note

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking and standing (standing for 2 hours during cooking process) and 10 steps to negotiate at the Culinary School and to get on\off the coach. This tour is suitable for guests with limited mobility but not for those who utilise a wheelchair. Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Guests should ask permission before taking photos of local residents.
