East Coast, Kiwengwa Beach and Resort Beach Club
Depart from the pier for a scenic 45 to 60 - minute drive along the East Coast, past some villages, farms and local schools on to Kiwengwa Beach; one of Zanzibar's most beautiful beaches. Upon arrival at the Resort you will proceed to the Beach Club. After receiving a welcome drink and bottle of mineral water, you can relax in the sun, explore the beach or participate in any of the resort's amenities, including kayaking, boating, snorkeling, volleyball, and soccer. Sun beds and umbrellas will also be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The resort is set amongst a thousand coconut palms and enjoys a fabulous vantage point on the East Coast of Zanzibar, 500 metres of unspoilt beach. The Oasis spa is idyllically situated right next to the beach where the cool breeze and sounds of the ocean create the ultimate sanctuary for your complete relaxation. The resort has a boutique where guests may purchase local souvenirs.
Following your visit, you will re-board your bus for the 45 to 60-minute return drive to the pier.

Please note: Please note: This tour involves a minimal amount of activities, times over uneven, gravel, and natural surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the vehicles. This tour is suitable for guests with limited mobility but able to embark/disembark the coach. It is not recommended for guests who utilize a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear a swimsuit under a cover-up, lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, insect repellent, a light, weatherproof jacket, and a camera from the ship.
The condition of the beach is dependant upon the tide. During low tide, swimming is a long way away and not recommended. Instead, during low tide, one may walk across the beach and explore the shallow water filled beach areas where you can discover some fascinating marine life. THe resort reserves most of its sunbeds for its inhouse guests. We do organise for a few sun beds. Guests can freely enjoy the pool and other facilities at the resort. Children under 12 years must accompanied by an adult. Space on this tour is limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
