Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive to Jurong, and a visit to the Lakeside Gardens. The gardens are part of the 222-acre (about 90-hectare) Jurong Lake Gardens, Singapore's third-largest national gardens and its first in the heartlands. These gardens were developed with an emphasis on nature, community and play. One of the most visible features of the Lakeside Gardens is the beautiful Rasau Walk, a meandering, barrier-free waterfront boardwalk along the shoreline of Jurong Lake. There is also a nature-inspired, children's play area, grasslands, islands, nature trails, and a stream forest.  

Lim Chu Kang, Urban Farm

Next, re-board your coach and continue on to the world's first, low-carbon, hydraulic-driven vertical farm. This concept utilises green urban solutions to achieve the production of safe, fresh and delicious vegetables using minimal land, water and energy resources. Located in Lim Chu Kang, this urban farm sets the standard by which organic vegetables are grown in urban environments, and was developed here to address key challenges such as limited land, lack of soil and water, and higher operating costs due to energy consumption and manpower constraints.

Guided Tour, Floating Platform, Rooftop Farming Model

During your visit, take a guided tour of the urban farm and see two prototypes; a floating platform and rooftop farming model.

At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 45-minute drive back to the pier.
