Domaine de la Cascade
Depart the Port and drive to The Domaine de la Cascade, which is located near the village of Manantantely and offers an opportunity to encounter pure nature.
This pleasant private park is located at 13 km from the Town of Taolanaro. The Domaine de la Cascade of Manantantely, meaning' a place of honey', is the ideal place to walk, explore or just relax. Lots of delightful green landscape and a magnificient waterfall. It is a moderate walk of approx. 90 mins and combines tree trails : “trail of waterfall”, “trail of the summit” and “trail to the north”. It starts at the nursery, the heart of the wet primary forest with native and exotic speicies. The walk runs along the river near a very small waterfall. The path goes up and you will reach the base of the big waterfall. Continue through forest of eucalyptus trees and finally head back to the car park.
Town of Tolagnaro and Dance Performance
Transfer from the Domaine to the entry of the Town of Tolagnaro. The city tour includes a visit of the local market, and historical buildings in the town and a chance to see the lower and upper plateaus that make up Tolagnaro, also known as Fort Dauphin. After the city tour, make a stop in the public garden where guests can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view and will be able to sample local fruit.
End the tour with a traditional dance performance in the Garden. Head back to the cruise pier after the dance performance.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of walking of approximately 2-3km or 1.8 miles on uneven surfaces and approximately 25 steps to negotiate. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair. Lightweight comfortable clothing, and flat, closed-toe walking shoes are recommended. Guests are advised to bring with them sun protection, a hat, sunglasses and repellent for insects. Expect the weather to be hot and humid. Please bring extra water with you. Sighting of wildlife cannot be guaranteed. Please ask for permission to take photos of locals. It is forbidden to photograph military bases/personnel or military buildings.
