Embrace the scenic splendour of Norway during this panoramic, half-day excursion to the renowned Briksdal Glacier.
Glacial Lakes and Valleys
Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 40-minute drive to the Briksdal Mountain Lodge. En route, drive through the valley along the shore of the Floen and Olden lakes. Ahead of you, view the long white stretch of the Melkevoll Glacier. The road ascends through woodlands to the Briksdal Mountain Lodge at the end of the road.
HIke Briksdal and Jostedal Glaciers
Upon arrival, begin your hike to Briksdal Glacier. After crossing the river, climb the lovely scenic switchback path to the top of a waterfall. Here, take in the view of the Briksdal Glacier, the largest arm of the Jostedal Glacier, the largest glacier on the European mainland.
Briksdal Glacier and Mountain Lodge
A stop is made here to take in the stunning beauty of this imposing natural wonder. Afterward, walk back the same route back to the Briksdal Mountain Lodge. Following a refreshment stop with coffee and cakes and some time to browse the gift shop, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 45-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of approximately 5 kilometres in total, over uneven surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. This tour is not recommended for mobility challenged guests or guests who utilise a wheelchair. Wear hiking boots, dressing in layers and bringing along sun screen or rain gear if necessary.
