Excursion Cycling and walking ninase peninsula tour at Saaremaa

Cycle to the Ninase peninsula, where some may feel as it is the end of the world - the sea is surrounding us from three sides. During the Soviet era, two soviet military bases were located there. The remains of those buildings can give you an idea of how life could have been there. The forest is well featured with small forest roads zigzagging between the juniper bushes and trees. We have an opportunity to be acquainted with not only the remnants of the old soviet buildings and the surrounding nature but also a nice fishing village. Tagaranna village is a picturesque place where not only local families but also summer residents have found their sanctuary. Not far from the village up on the cliff we can see the memorial for the ship Estonia that sank in 1994 on its way from Tallinn to Stockholm. The surrounding nature and birds can be observed from the 12 m high tower next to the village.

Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes. Walking is required over uneven surfaces, asphalt, grass, gravel and steps. Toilet stops available: (parking area at port). This tour involves approximately 1,5 km of walking/standing grassy, gravel paths, uneven ground, small inclines; cycling 12,5 km. Guests should be in good physical condition and be comfortable with hand brakes and cycling downhill. Cycle helmets are provided and must be worn at all times whilst cycling. All participants are required to sign an additional waiver provided by the operator. Minimum age to participate is 14 years. Minimum height is 160cm. The experience may be cancelled in extreme weather conditions. The experience may operate in a different order.
