Your journey begins with a panoramic drive from Monopoli pier to Martina Franca of approximately one hour. Upon arrival, your guide will lead you through the old town’s highlights, including Porta Santo Stefano, the main entrance in Piazza XX Settembre, and Piazza Roma, where you’ll find the grand Palazzo Ducale, an impressive civic building from 1668. As you wander the narrow streets, keep an eye out for the beautifully ornate Basilica of San Martino, an 18th-century Baroque masterpiece dedicated to the town’s patron saint. The basilica’s façade features a striking bas-relief depicting Saint Martin on horseback sharing his cloak with a beggar, a symbol of generosity and kindness.
