Gypsy Cove is a popular destination known for its stunning coastal scenery and wildlife, particularly the Magellanic penguins. The Gypsy Cove hike is a relatively short and easy walk that offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy beautiful views and observe the local fauna.
Enjoy a leisurely walk with your Expedition staff and with a little luck you spot Magellanic penguins, various seabirds, and potentially other wildlife such as sealions. Enjoy stunning views of white sand beaches, turquoise water, and costal landscapes. Explore the remnants of World War II defenses along the way including gun emplacements and bunkers. The Gypsy Cove hike is a must-do-for nature enthusiasts visiting the Falkland Islands.

Note: This activity will be guided by your Expedition staff, but we ask guests to register up front to coordinate the bus transfer involved. A moderate amount of walking for approximately 1.6km (1 mile) round trip over well maintained gravel paths with gentle slopes, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. Dress in layers with sturdy, closed-toe, waterproof shoes/boots, and bring sun protection and a weatherproof jacket, hat, and scarf. Although frequently encountered on this type of tour, wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.
