Excursion Hike to runde’s puffin cliffs tour at Fosnavag

Start with a scenic drive to Runde Island and visit the Runde Environmental Center for an introduction to its seabird colonies and maritime heritage. Continue to the trailhead and embark on a challenging hike to Lundeura, known as “The Puffin Cliff,” where dramatic ocean views and rugged cliffs host thousands of nesting seabirds. Along the way, enjoy sweeping vistas of the North Sea and neighboring islands before returning via the same route.

Please note: This hike covers approximately 6.5 km (4 miles) round trip with an elevation gain of about 370 m (1,214 ft) and involves a steep, consistent incline. Terrain includes stone steps, uneven ground, cobblestones, wooden planks, and natural surfaces; proper hiking shoes or boots and layered clothing are essential. This tour involves an extensive amount of walking and is not suitable for guests with limited mobility. Visibility of sights may be affected by adverse weather, and bird activity cannot be guaranteed.
