Your scenic journey begins with a 25-minute air-conditioned minibus or coaster transfer from your cruise port to Gold Mine Ranch, nestled in Aruba’s remote northeast. The drive itself offers beautiful island views, setting the stage for your adventure.

Safety & Horse Matching

Upon arrival at the ranch, you’ll receive a comprehensive safety orientation and be matched with a suitable horse. The friendly guide team will ensure you’re comfortable and prepared for the ride.

Horseback Ride & Exploration

Once suited up, set out on a non-stop, immersive 1.5-hour ride along picturesque trails. Pass breathtaking panoramic ocean views, pristine beaches, towering sand dunes, and remnants from Aruba’s gold mining history dating from 1824 to 1916. The ride is designed to be accessible for all levels—beginners and seasoned riders alike—and includes regular stops for photos and storytelling about the island’s natural and cultural heritage.

Return & Scenic Drive Back

After your ride, you’ll return to the ranch, having experienced Aruba’s wild beauty from a unique vantage point. The return journey to the ship is equally scenic, offering a relaxing end to your memorable adventure.

Note

Please note: This active excursion includes approximately 90 minutes on horseback, as well as walking over uneven and sandy surfaces with some inclines and steps. It is not suitable for guests who utilize a wheelchair or have limited mobility, or for those with a fear of horses or heights. A waiver must be signed to participate. Maximum guest height is 6’2” with a maximum weight of 230 lbs. Guests should wear long pants, firm closed-toe shoes, and bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and a firm hat. A bottled water or soft drink is provided.
