Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 75-minute drive to Provence for a visit to Isle Sur la Sorque. Known as the 'Venice of Provence' due to its lovely canals, Isle Sur la Sorque lies at the foot of the Vaucluse plateau in the plains of Comtat Venaissin. Birthplace of poet René Char, this lovely former fishing village was transformed in the 19th century, when water wheels were erected along the banks of its canals to power paper and grain mills.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for up to 0.93 miles (about 1.5 kilometres), at times over uneven, natural, and cobblestone surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and steps at the estate. Walking at the Isle Sur la Sorque is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, a sweater or light jacket, an umbrella, bottled water, and Euros and/or credit cards for purchases from the ship. Most shops only accept cash. On Sunday and Thursday, if local market is taking place, crowds are to be expected. Guests must be at least 12 years old to participate on this tour. Villa Datris will be visited only if open on the day of the call. The tour sequence may vary. Space on this tour is very limited; we suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
