Pueblo Libre District and Larco Herrara Museum

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 45-minute drive to the Pueblo Libre District, once one of the most emblematic quarters of Lima in bygone days. Upon arrival, proceed to the Larco Herrera Museum. Founded by Rafael Larco Hoyle in 1926, the museum is situated in a Viceregal-era mansion built on a pre-Colombian pyramid dating from the 7th century.

During a guided walking tour learn about Peruvian history, and view a very comprehensive collection of pre-Hispanic gold artefacts and erotic art.
