Palamos, Empordà, Peratallada, Historic Centre, Guided Walking Tour
Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive to Peratallada. Located in the heart of Empordà, Peratallada is an ideal place for a guided walking tour through its historic centre. This lovely village is carved of stone from the moat which surrounds Peratallada. Indeed its name means 'carved stone'. Peratallada is a classified historic site and is one of the most important medieval centres in Catalonia.
Pals Village, Old Quarter, Guided Walking Tour
Next, re-board your coach and head to the nearby village of Pals. This medieval Catalonian village was built on the Costa Brava between the 11th and 13th centuries, and declared a Site of Historical Interest in 1973. This hilltop village was built around a fortress and has kept its medieval appearance thanks to a local doctor, who, after the village had been neglected, took the lead in its restoration. Upon arrival, take a guided stroll through the streets of the Old Quarter, and enjoy breath-taking views of your surrounds.
At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.
