• Walking at Mendenhall Glacier varies pending guest desire, and there are some stairs, ramps, and an elevator for access to the Visitor Center.

• Total walking distance varies 50 yrd to 1 mile.

• Slight inclines but alternate routes are available. Surfaces include paved, unpaved and hard packed dirt. Various mapped trails are available

• Lift equipped vehicle available upon request (48-hour notice preferred). Venue is wheelchair accessible; however guests must be able to embark and disembark the vehicle/vessel without assistance.

•Many viewpoints are fully accessible at the glacier & viewing area. Venue is accessible to guests confined to a wheelchair; however advanced notice must be given to on board Shore Concierge Staff to assure a special needs vehicle is secured. Guests must travel with a companion to provide assistance.
