Your first stop is La Fosca, a lovely little beach with superb views. From here, continue cycling along the greenway named Ruta del Tren Petit (Route of the Little Train), which used to be a narrow-gauge railway line. Forming a backdrop is Les Gavarres, a massif of hilly woodlands that is important to the production of cork extracted from its oak forests. On the final leg of your journey, cycle through the Empordà Plain en route to the medieval village of Pals.

Upon arrival in Pals, a stop is made for a guided walking tour. The old centre of Pals is dominated by a Roman Tower built between the 11th century and 13th century, and features pebbled streets, half-point arches, façades with ogive windows, and stone balconies. The city wall has four square towers dating from the 4th century. From Pals, take in spectacular views out to the rice fields of the Ter River plain and Medes Islands in the sea. Following your walking tour, a stop is made for refreshments, followed by some free time for independent shopping and exploration. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 40-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of bicycling for approximately 13.7 miles (about 20 kilometres) sometimes over dirt road and an extensive amount of walking for approximately 1.24 miles (about two kilometres), at times over uneven, cobblestone, and natural surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to get on/off the coach and electric-assisted bike. Walking in Pals is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is recommended for guests who are in good physical condition, know how to ride a bicycle and/or have previous electric-assisted biking experience. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with neck and/or back problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests who suffer from vertigo, guests prone to motion sickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing or a tracksuit with flat, closed-toe walking shoes or sneakers, and bring sun protection, bottled water, a sweater or light jacket, and local currency or credit cards for purchases from the ship. Guests must be at least eight years old to participate on this tour; minors must be accompanied by parent or guardian over the age of 18. Guests must be at least 4´3" (about 1,30 metres) in height to participate on this tour. Guests over 6'5" (about 2 metres) in height cannot participate on this tour. Guests weighing over 220 pounds (about 100 kilograms) cannot participate on this tour. Child e-Bikes are available for children between approximately 4'3"-4'11" (about 1.3 metres-1.5 metres) in height. Bicycle helmets are provided, and must be worn the entire time whilst riding. Photography/videography whilst riding the e-Bike is prohibited. Headsets cannot be used whilst riding the e-Bike. A signed waiver is required to participate on this tour. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. The tour sequence may vary. Space on this tour is very limited; we suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
