Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive to the famous Opaeka'a Falls, an exquisite, approximately 151-foot (about 46-metre) waterfall located on the Opaeka'a Stream in Wailua River State Park. Leaving Opaeka'a Falls, re-board your coach and head for a photo stop at the remains of the nearby Holoholo-ku Heiau, an ancient temple built to worship traditional Hawaiian gods. Afterward, re-board your coach and transfer to the nearby Smith's Kauai.

Upon arrival, embark a boat for a picturesque cruise up the Wailua River, the only navigable river in Hawaii, en route to the famously romantic Fern Grotto. Upon arrival, disembark your boat for the short walk to this lovely natural amphitheatre of lava rock and tropical vegetation, where you are met and serenaded, Hawaiian-style. Leaving the Fern Grotto, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking and standing for approximately 450 yards (about 411 metres), at times over uneven, grassy, rocky, and natural surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and embark/disembark the boat, and 40 steps and a steep slope at Waimea Valley State Park. This tour is not suitable for guests prone to seasickness, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, sturdy, and closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, a sweater or light jacket, umbrella, bottled water, and US Dollars or credit cards for purchases from the ship. Guests of all ages can participate on this tour; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old. Guests must be at least 21 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. Commercial photography/videography is not permitted on this tour. The boat-cruise and Fern Grotto viewing are not exclusive to Silversea guests, and may include other groups.
