IMPORTANT NOTE

This Silver Shore Overland Experience requires advance booking through Silversea Reservations no later than 90 days prior to the sail date. Requests received after this date may be accommodated on a space-available basis. Tickets are available in limited quantities, and participation cannot be guaranteed for those guests not booking well in advance. A minimum number of participants is required to operate this programme. If this minimum number is not met, Silversea reserves the right to offer the programme at a different rate based on private arrangements, or to cancel the specific departure. Cancellation fee, unless otherwise advised, 90 - 0 days prior to the initial sailing date: 100% of the programme fare per person is due.

Payment in full is due at time of final payment.  Bookings made within 120 days of sailing require full payment within seven days of booking or sooner, as specified by Silversea.

All Overland Experiences are non-transferable, and non-refundable, within 90 days of sailing. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by someone 18 years of age or older. VISA INFORMATION:

Please check with your travel professional for details regarding visa requirements for Vietnam. It is the responsibility of each guest to obtain all appropriate visas before cruising.

LOCAL CURRENCY:

The local currency is the Viethamese Dong; however, US Dollars are well-accepted by most vendors. Local ATMs are available in some locations visited, and credit cards are accepted in most larger shops and hotels (shopping stops are not planned during this program).

DAY ONE - Ho Chi Minh/Hue

Disembark the ship and transfer to the Saigon Airport for your scheduled flight to Hue

After disembarking the ship, meet your guide and transfer to Saigon Airport for check-in and your scheduled, approximately one-hour, 30-minute afternoon flight to Hue departing at approximately 3:40pm (Please be advised that flights may be changed by the local supplier at any time, and without our control, due to operational reasons. The final flights' details will be confirmed once on-board).

Transfer to your hotel for check-in and lunch

Upon arrival at the Hue Airport meet your guide and transfer to La Residence Hotel in Hue for check-in and dinner at the hotel.

DAY TWO - Hue/Hoi An

Begin the day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel, setting the tone for a culturally rich and scenic journey. Visit the Citadel, a testament to Hue's imperial past, and explore its majestic architecture and historical significance. Next, head to Thien Mu Pagoda, a revered landmark that offers insights into Vietnam's Buddhist heritage.

Take a relaxing boat trip along the Perfume River, which flows gently through the heart of Hue. Enjoy the picturesque views of the surrounding countryside and the tranquility of the river.

Afterward, indulge in a local lunch, savoring the flavors of traditional Vietnamese cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the tomb of King Tu Duc, a serene and beautifully landscaped historic site that showcases the emperor's legacy.

As the day unfolds, embark on a scenic drive to Hoi An, with a rest stop at Lang Co beach, where you can take in the stunning coastal views. Upon arrival in Hoi An, check-in at your hotel and unwind before enjoying dinner at a local restaurant, where you can sample the town's culinary delights.

DAY THREE - Hoi An/Danang

After breakfast and check-out, depart for a visit to the Ancient Town of Hoi An

Begin the day with a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, fueling up for a morning of exploration in Hoi An Ancient Town. Wander through the charming streets, taking in the historic architecture and vibrant atmosphere. Visit the Hoi An Old House, a beautifully preserved example of traditional Vietnamese architecture, and explore the town's pagodas, which showcase the local spiritual heritage.

Afterward, enjoy some free time to browse local shops, browse markets, or simply soak up the town's unique charm. You might find some unique souvenirs or handicrafts to take back home.

In the afternoon, head to Marble Mountain, a stunning site where artisans create intricate marble sculptures. Watch the craftsmen at work and admire their skill and creativity. Take a moment to appreciate the breathtaking views from the top.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Hoi An.

Next, stop at Marble Beach for a photo opportunity, taking in the stunning coastal scenery. As the day comes to a close drive back to the port, where you'll rejoin your ship and conclude this leg of your journey. Upon arrival at the pier, embark the ship.

Please note: This Mid-Voyage Overland Experience involves an moderate amount of walking for approximately 9.3 miles (about 15 kilometres), at times over uneven, bumpy, gravel, cobblestone, and natural surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and board/de-board the airplane. This tour is recommended for active guests in good physical condition. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with neck and/or back problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests prone to motion sickness, guests with a fear of heights, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, insect repellent, raingear, a sweater or light jacket, camera, any necessary medication, and local currency or credit cards for purchases from the ship. Please dress conservatively when going ashore. As a rule, women should never wear anything remotely revealing (miniskirts, shorts, capris, beachwear, and sleeveless or low-cut tops), and men should always wear shirts and trousers in public. Proper attire is required to enter religious sites; shorts and bare shoulders are not permitted. Shoes must be removed prior to entering the temples; we suggest bringing along a pair of thick socks, because the pavement may be very hot. Guests must be at least 18 years old to participate on this tour; minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old. Guests must be at least 18 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. For your added safety and protection, please leave jewellery, valuables, and large amounts of cash on board the ship. Guests should be respectful towards local sentiments and customs. Photography/videography may not be permitted inside some areas of the museums. The tour sequence, timings, and itinerary are subject to change without prior notice, and airline alterations to the flight schedules may affect the tour itinerary, tour sequence and/or programme content. Supplement for excess luggage is to be paid directly at the check-in counter.
