Juneau, Wildlife Cruise, Channel Islands, Alaskan State Marine Park, Small Island

Depart the pier for the short transfer to the boat harbour. Upon arrival, embark your small, six-passenger vessel and set sail for the scenic, approximately 1.5-hour wildlife cruise to the Channel Islands, an Alaskan State Marine Park and the richest humpback whale feeding grounds in Alaska. This tour takes a spin on the classic whale watching tour by adding the adventure of sea kayaking, the best vantage-point from which to enjoy the whales and marine life in their natural habitat.

Island Landing, Sea-Kayaking Adventure, Humpback Whales, Sea Lion Rookeries, Marine Life

After landing on a small island, receive your safety and kayaking instructions, protective clothing, and kayaking gear before entering the water. Once on the water, your experienced kayaking guide demonstrates paddle techniques and allows time for practice prior to beginning your sea-kayaking adventure. During the panoramic, approximately two-hour guided kayaking portion of your tour, explore these remote waters and search for wildlife and marine life. With their humpback whale feeding grounds, sea lion rookeries, and abundant marine life, the Channel Islands are designated as an Alaska State Marine Park.

Inside Passage, Mountains, Snow-Capped Peaks, Flowing Glaciers

Discover the natural history of the Inside Passage and marvel at the picturesque scenery that surrounds you, including spectacular mountains, snow-capped peaks, and flowing glaciers. Upon completion of kayaking, enjoy a Bento boxed lunch on board the boat. Throughout the tour, your expert guides and captain share their knowledge of the local area. Your adventure concludes with a ride back to the boat harbour. Upon arrival, disembark your vessel, re-board your coach, and commence the short ride back to the pier.
