Enjoy a half-dayvisiting Parnamirim Field in Natal. The Northeast region of Brazil was one of the affected areas in World War II, although not within the direct conflict scenario of the war, in the early 1940s it became a crossing point giving even greater prominence to the Natal, in Rio Grande do Norte, with the installation of the largest US military base outside the boundaries of the United States.


Since the 1920's, Natal was the obligatory passage of aircraft from different parts of the world - France, Germany, Italy, among others, including Japan and Australia - due to its proximity to the African continent, the incredible logistics were necessary to attend. The revolutionary means of transport, which originated the Parnamirim airfield in 1927. Because of this, the Former US Air Base has become a Brazilian Air Base, the former airport of the city, the Augusto Severo, also functioned and was chosen to host the rich Museum of the Rampa Foundation.


After visiting the exhibition and learning about various curiosities about the impact of World War II in the region, we will continue to the largest cashew tree in the world - also located in the municipality of Parnamirim.
