Depart the pier for a scenic, approximately 30-minute drive through the rolling hills of Prince Edward Island en route to the Deep Roots Distillery, a boutique distillery nestled amidst the picturesque landscape.

Established in 2014, Deep Roots Distillery is renowned for its exceptional and distinctive spirits. Nestled within a picturesque U-Pick apple orchard, this distillery has gained acclaim for its flagship offering—an award-winning apple brandy, meticulously crafted from the freshest apples sourced directly from its own orchard. With a diverse range of over twenty unique products, the distillery prides itself on utilizing fresh, locally-sourced ingredients whenever possible.

Guided Tour, Tasting of Spirits & Shopping

Upon arrival at the Deep Roots Distillery, take a guided tour of the property. Along the way, learn about the processes the distillery uses to craft its distinctive spirits.  Afterwards, proceed for a spirit tasting, and indulge in the rich aromas and flavours of their finest creations. Following your tasting, stop by the distillery’s store to browse spirits available for sale. Leaving the Deep Roots Distillery, re-board your coach and head to the Brackley Bay Oyster Company, a renowned oyster farm located on Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Brackley Bay Oyster Company is a family-run boutique oyster packing, fishing and shipping company, fishing one of Prince Edward Island’s oldest leases in the Brackley and Covehead Bays. Their commitment to sustainable practices and dedication to producing premium oysters has earned them a reputation as one of the leading oyster producers in the region. During a guided talk, learn how farming practices have evolved in the oyster industry, then proceed for a shucking demonstration before indulging in an oyster tasting. Learn about the meticulous craftsmanship behind oyster cultivation, then proceed for a delightful tasting of these delectable morsels from the sea.

Following your tour, re-board the coach and commence the approximately one-hour drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.93 miles (about 1.5 km), at times over uneven and natural surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and 3 steps at the sites visited.
