Excursion Premium glacier discovery tour at Wrangell
Cruise line: SilverseaDifficulty:
Experience the majesty of Alaska's glaciers aboard a custom-built, comfortable jet boat with onboard restrooms, a heated cabin, large viewing windows, and a spacious back deck. Your Alaskan guides will provide captivating insights into the region's dynamic geology and cultural history while keeping an eye out for harbor seals, eagles, and other wildlife.
The current tide level will determine whether we journey through a 12 mile long dramatic fjord to LeConte Glacier Bay, the southernmost tidewater glacier in America, or venture up the wild Stikine River to the face of Shakes Glacier in it's stunning mountain lake. Feel the crisp glacial air as you step onto the back deck and listen to the roar of a hundred waterfalls or the thunder of blue ice calving off the glacial face.
