Discover two of the most charming villages of the French Riviera with their beauty and architecture during this scenic, sightseeing tour of Eze and St. Paul de Vence. Guided tours will show you the treasures of these medieval villages, both set high atop the rocky hillsides that dominate this landscape.
Eze
Leaving Nice by way of the Middle Corniche, take in superb scenic views of Nice during the drive to the medieval village of Eze, perched on a rocky promontory overlooking the coast. Upon arrival, walk up to and through the 14th-century double gateway. Take the small, rocky path which has a splendid view of the gardens surrounding the Chateau de la Chèvre d'Or. Once inside, you will discover a small Provencal village filled with charm and colorful window boxes, offering a panoramic view of the sea and coast-line.
St. Paul de Vence
Continue your journey to this ancient hilltop village's medieval atmosphere and view first-hand how well and perfectly preserved it is. Narrow streets are flanked by 16th-century houses, most of which are now occupied by gift shops and art galleries. During the guided walking tour, stroll about the crooked lanes and see the remarkable remains of the 12th-century Gothic church. Enjoy some free time for shopping.
Following your tour, board your coach for the return to Nice.
Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of walking on uneven, steep and partially-cobblestone streets. The visit to St. Paul de Vence takes place entirely on-foot. This tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, walking shoes and sun protection.
