Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 50-minute drive to a farmhouse located on the northern part of Phuket. The farmhouse was created to showcase traditional Thai farming practices, and designed to be a cultural learning centre.

Upon arrival, at the farmhouse, take a guided walking tour along the rice field, herb garden, and pineapple plantation, observe the traditional way of life through rice-milling, rice-sifting, and rubber-tapping demonstrations, and learn about the benefits of the herbs utilised in Thai cuisine.

Next, receive your apron and disposable hat, then proceed for a demonstration of how to prepare coconut milk, Thai curry, and other local specialities with fresh herbs from the herb garden on the farm. Following the cooking class, proceed for a lunch consisting of the various dishes you have helped to prepare. After lunch, re-board your coach and head for a visit to the Pra Thong Temple, which enshrines a Buddha image that is half-buried in the ground. Built in the 1750s, Pra Thong is the second-most important temple in Phuket after Wat Chalong. Your tour concludes with an approximately 50-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 437 yards (about 400 metres), at times over uneven and natural surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and 20 steps to access the 2nd-floor of the farmhouse. This tour is not recommended for guests with food allergies, guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, bottled water, and local currency or credit cards for purchases from the ship. Guests must be at least 18 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. Proper attire is required to enter the Pra Thong Temple; shorts and bare shoulders are not permitted. Operation of this tour is subject to weather conditions. The tour sequence may vary. Space on this tour is extremely limited; we suggest you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
