Excursion Valagil hike tour at Bolungarvík

Drive from Ísafjörður to the neighboring fjord Álftafjörður passing Súðavík village and the picturesque inner fjord. Stop at the bottom of the fjord where we start the moderate hike towards Valagil. Valagil is a spectacular canyon, complete with a mighty waterfall made from layers upon layers of ancient lava. There is a marked footpath (ca. 2 km) to the canyon from the road and the hike is moderately easy.

After the hike we drive 30 minutes back to Ísafjörður.

Please note: A moderate amount of walking is required and unpaved, uneven ground may be encountered, as well as 2-3 stairs when entering and exiting the coach. This tour is not suitable for guests who utilize a wheelchair. Guests are recommended to wear comfortable clothing and shoes appropriate for the weather.
