Scenic drive through the lowlands, were the first tribes of the land built their first settlements and they used to live hunting and cultivating their food in the rich and fertile volcanic lands, and we can see today cultivated with sugar cane.
Visit the "Valhalla" Macadamia Nut Farm. This farm is a commercial, ecological and social project that seeks to educate local indigenous families to develop self-sustainable agriculture and at the same time educate people about the dangers of Global Warming while helping to preverse it. This project won the prestigious "Golden Fete D'Excellence" Award in 2002.
Scenic drive back to the ship, where you should be able to see four volcanoes, Agua, Fuego, Acatenango and Pacaya, the last three in constant activity.

Please note: The drive from the ship to the farm is approximately 90 minutes in each direction. This excursion involves walking over natural and uneven terrain, and is therefore not recommended for guests with limited mobility. Comfortable clothing, appropriate walking shoes and sun protection, including sunglasses and hat and insect repellent are recommended.
