Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive to the Vida Museum and Art Gallery. A museum and art studio, Vida displays the collective works of Ulrica Hydman-Vallien and Bertil Vallien, designers at the famous Kosta Boda Glassworks. The Vida Museum was built for the specific purpose of presenting the full range of their artistic achievement over four decades, on both a national and international level. In a separate exhibition hall, view the most important departures from the early-1960s to the very latest in sculpture, glass, ceramics, painting and design. Following your guided tour, some free time is made available to explore the museum at your leisure, and stop by the special gift shop to purchase art, glass pieces, silver and books.

Landborg Cliffs, Borgholm Castle Ruins, Free Time

Next, re-board your coach and head to the Borgholm Castle Ruins. Situated at the top of the sheer, steep face of the Landborg Cliffs, the Borgholm Castle Ruins are considered to be one of Sweden's most important historical monuments. The size of the castle is overwhelming, and this living museum merges the past with the present. Upon arrival, take a guided tour of the exhibition and learn about 900 years of Swedish history. Following your tour, some free time is made available to explore the museum at your leisure. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 0.6 miles (about one kilometre), at times over uneven, gravel, and cobblestone surfaces and hills, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and 20-30 steps at the sites visited. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring a sweater or light jacket from the ship. The tour sequence may vary. Space on this tour is very limited; we suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
