Depart from pier for an approximately 70-minute drive to Neputa Village, home of the famous Neputa Festival. Here, you will be welcomed by the glowing presence of monumental festival floats and enveloped in the powerful energy of this celebrated tradition. Take your time to walk through this colorful world, admiring the artistry behind the giant illuminated sculptures. You may also enjoy a delightful live performance featuring the traditional shamisen, a three-stringed Japanese instrument whose resonant melodies evoke the spirit of northern Japan.

Zennringai Street

Following this rich cultural immersion, continue by coach on a short and scenic drive through Zennringai Street, a historic district known for its collection of ancient Zen temples. The tour ends with approximately 70-minute drive back to the pier.

This tour involves a minimal walking distance of approximately 0.3 miles (0.5 km) over mostly flat and even surfaces. Full time wheelchair users, are kindly requested to contact shoreconcierge@silversea.com in order to provide further details and determine if the tour is suitable for them. Guests will need to manage a few steps when boarding or disembarking the vehicle. This excursion is fully accessible for limited mobility guests or for guests using wheelchairs or electric scooters, and the vehicle utilized is equipped with a rear lift or ramp. Guides and drivers cannot push wheelchairs or provide support due to liability concerns. Wheelchair users need to be with someone taking care of them or be able to manage it by themselves. Lightweight, comfortable clothing, flat closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Japanese yen is required for any purchases: guests are advised to exchange money at the airport prior the cruise. Local Tour Guides tend to have a strong accent therefore we urge flexibility.
