Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Experience the spectacular waterways and sights of Stockholm from a unique perspective during this evening sightseeing excursion via boat.

Stockholm, Lake Mälaren, Baltic Sea, Islands, Bridges

Depart the pier for a scenic, approximately 1.5-hour cruise along the Baltic Sea and Stockholm, strategically built where Lake Mälaren meets the Baltic Sea. Often referred to as the 'Beauty on Water', Stockholm is built upon 14 different islands and the mainland, all linked together by over 50 bridges. Water plays an important role in everyday local life. Boating, swimming and fishing are popular activities in this capital city, where over a third of the total surface area is water; an additional third consists of parks and green areas.

Strandvägen, Vasa and Maritime Museums, Djurgårdsbrunn Bay, Embassy District, TV Tower

Enjoy a glass of sparkling wine with snacks whilst cruising the glittering waters of the Baltic Sea, and marvel at the scenic splendour of Stockholm. Cruise along the Strandvägen, the most exclusive street in Stockholm, and pass by the impressive Vasa Museum. Continue further into the Eco Park area and through the bay of Djurgårdsbrunn, passing by Stockholm's embassy district, the TV Tower and Maritime Museum en route.

Stockholm National City Park, Rosendal Palace, Thiel Gallery, Djurgården and Feather Islands

Next, cruise by the Stockholm National City Park. Founded in 1995, the park features a unique blend of nature and culture. Here, find rare species of plants and insects not found elsewhere in Sweden, along with hundreds of protected and architecturally unique buildings, including the Rosendal Palace, Thiel Gallery and Waldemarsudde. From here, ride past the green and lush park areas of Djurgården Island before heading for more open waters towards Fjäderholmarna, the Feather Islands archipelago. A popular recreation area, Fjäderholmarna is also renowned for its lively and unique bird colonies. Cruise around these islands before returning to Stockholm City. Your cruise concludes back at the pier.
