Excursion Amazon river and walk at boa vista do acará island tour at Belem

This tour explores some of the Amazon River´s creeks and channels, giving visitors a glimpse of the mighty river´s majesty. During the boat ride, you will see local canoes, fishing boats and other river crafts making their way along the creeks that lead in and out of the great rain forest. In clearings along the way, you will glimpse homes of the local inhabitants, built on stilts.

After one hour boat ride, we stop at Boa Vista do Acará Island for a 45-minutes walking tour of the jungle, discovering its variety of vegetation. During the walking our guide will point out the different species of trees, fruits, and seeds.

Please note: 30- minute transfer to local boat pier. A 60-minute boat cruise to/from Boa Vista do Acará Island, with a moderate amount of walking at the island for 1 km (0.6 miles), and a few steps to negotiate to embark/disembark the busses and local canoe. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility. The boat is a local motorized canoe with only partial protection. Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection is recommended.
