Excursion Belem - cultural and history immersion tour at Belem

First stop on this city exploration is a visit to Forte do Presépio, the site upon which the settlement of Belém was founded in 1616. After a tour of the fort continue by food to the old city and the Museum of Sacred Arts, only a few minutes away. The museum has more than 300 sacred arts pieces and is considered one of the most important museums in Brazil. After the museum, continue with a visit to Teatro da Paz, build in the late 1800s and considered the most important culture house in northern Brazil.
Last stop is a visit to the Emílio Goeldi zoological and botanical park. It was founded in 1866 by naturalist Domingos Soares Ferreira Penna displays hundreds of vegetable and animal species inside monuments and buildings of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Enjoy a walk around this beautiful park before returning to the port.
