Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, Cabildo and the Cathedral

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 30-minute drive to the charming neighbourhood of San Telmo. En route, drive along the Plaza de Mayo (May Square), the city's main square, which is surrounded by the Casa Rosada (Presidential Headquarters Office), Cabildo (Colonial Town Hall) and the Cathedral.


San Telmo Food Market, Havanna Café and Palermo

Upon arrival in San Telmo, take a guided stroll through the San Telmo Food Market, then stop by the Havanna Café for a coffee tasting and opportunity to purchase some alfajores, a local pastry made with dulce de leche. Afterward, re-board your coach and head to Palermo for a cooking class at The Argentine Experience.


The Argentine Experience, Cooking Lesson, Lunch and Volta

During this memorable interactive cooking experience, discover the best-kept secrets of Argentinean cuisine, and participate in the preparation of empanadas, grilled provoleta cheese with sliced chorizo sausage, warm bread, and homemade chimichurri steak with velvety mashed potatoes and oven-roasted vegetables. For dessert, prepare your own alfajores. Following your cooking lesson, you are served a lunch consisting of the dishes you have helped to prepare. After lunch, re-board your coach and head to Volta, a popular ice cream shop, to taste the famous dulce de leche ice cream. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the short drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking and standing for approximately 328 yards (about 300 metres), at times over uneven and cobblestone surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and a flight of stairs at the San Telmo Market. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Guests must be at least five years old to participate on this tour.
