Buenos Aires is the capital and largest city of Argentina, and the second largest metropolitan area in South America. A top tourist destination known for its European-style architecture and rich cultural life, Buenos Aires defines itself as a multicultural city, being home to multiple ethnic and religious groups.
La Boca and El Caminito
Depart the pier for a drive along the magnificent Avenida 9 de Julio, reputed to be the widest boulevard on earth, here is where you will begin your tour of Buenos Aires with a visit to the La Boca District. Along the way, see the colourful buildings of the 'barrio' and the brightly-painted walls, murals and sculptures during a stroll down the famous pedestrian street of El Caminito.
San Telmo and Plaza de Mayo
Next, your drive continues through the charming streets of San Telmo, where mansions of yesteryear have been subdivided into crowded one- and two-bedroom dwellings known as 'conventillos'. From here, drive to the downtown area and take a stroll through May Square, or 'Plaza de Mayo'. Along the way, visit the historic Government House and Cathedral.
Obelisk
Re-board your coach and proceed for refreshments at a tradition cafeteria (Café Tortoni, Café Victoria, or similar). Afterward, re-board your coach and drive past the dramatic Obelisk, a memorial monument and revered symbol of Buenos Aires.
La Recoleta and Palermo
Your tour concludes with a brief stop at the La Recoleta Cemetery, the oldest cemetery in the city. In addition to its lavish marble statuary, mausoleums and tombs, La Recoleta is renowned for the esteemed national figures that are interred here, notably Eva (Evita) Perón.
Following your visit, re-board your coach for a drive through Palermo, home of magnificent mansions and parks, before returning to the pier.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 328 yards (300 metres) with stairs to negotiate at the cathedral, a few steps at the cemetery and cobblestone surfaces at El Caminito.
