Excursion Colonial antigua & lunch tour at Puerto Quetzal

Visit the famous colonial city of Antigua Guatemala, the former capital of the country that was partially destroyed by earthquakes in 1773.

Discover the charm of the city's cobblestone streets, as you walk through the main sights such as the Central Park surrounded by the Cathedral and Colonial Municipal Buildings, the Arch of Santa Catarina and the La Merced Church. Lunch will take place at Casa Santo Domingo, a famous hotel and museum. After lunch enjoy some free time to continue exploring or relax at the hotel's beautiful gardens and museums, before returning to the ship.

Please note: This excursion is not recommended for guests who are pregnant or have back or heart conditions due to the active approximately 2 hours walk over uneven cobblestones and sidewalks and bumpy driving to the sites. Comfortable clothing, appropriate walking shoes and sun protection, sunglasses, hat and insect repellent are recommended.

The driving time from the ship to Antigua is approximately 90 minutes in each direction.
