Excursion Gibraltar panorama and tea tour at Gibraltar

Cruise line: Silversea
Difficulty:

Discover the many landmarks that make up Gibraltar on a leisurely drive past historic markers. End your tour at a local venue for an English Tea break. Poised strategically at the jaws of Europe and Africa, Gibraltar, with its Palladian architecture and camera-hogging Barbary macaques, makes for an interesting break from Cádiz province's white towns and tapas.

Panoramic Drive

Departing from the port, a relaxing drive North will take you below Gibraltar's unique runway to the border between this small territory and Spain. You won’t make a stop here but as we drive by there’s a great opportunity to view this remarkable border and the Spanish mainland beyond.

Europa Point

Proceeding along the outskirts of town and passing the American War Memorial and the Trafalgar Cemetery, you’ll soon reach Europa Point. Admire the fine views from this vantage point, of the coast of North Africa, 12 miles across the famous Straits of Gibraltar. From here, you will appreciate why this territory was, and continues to be, of such strategic importance to the British Navy.

The Lounge, Tea

Relax and enjoy refreshments and classic British Delights at The Lounge. The Lounge Bar is a family owned business and was formed in 2010 by sisters Sonia and Michelle.

They fell in love with the relaxing and tranquil vibe of Queensway Quay Marina and wanted to create a social gathering place for residents and visitors where they could relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle.
