Step into the heart of Italian culinary tradition with this immersive Gaeta Cooking Class at the historic Villa Irlanda Grand Hotel. This half-day experience is designed for food lovers of all ages who wish to learn, taste, and relax in an authentic Italian setting.
Transfer to Villa Irlanda
Depart the port in a comfortable minivan for the scenic drive to Villa Irlanda. Along the way, enjoy views of Gaeta’s coastal landscapes, offering a sense of the region’s maritime tradition. Upon arrival, guests are introduced to the day’s program.
Hands-On Cooking Class
Step into the villa’s kitchen and learn how to prepare traditional Gaeta and Campania dishes under the guidance of local culinary experts. Guests actively participate in making homemade pasta, sauces, and other regional specialties, gaining practical tips and authentic techniques to replicate these recipes at home. This is a fun and interactive experience suitable for families, couples, and solo travelers.
3-Course Lunch
After the cooking session, enjoy a freshly prepared 3-course meal paired with Italian wine and water. Seasonal and locally sourced ingredients highlight the flavors of the region, making each dish a true taste of Gaeta.
After lunch, guests can enjoy a relaxing stroll in the gardens of the villa, or relax by the hotel pool, before re-boarding the minivan for the return transfer to the port.

Please note: This tour involves a minimal amount of activity including approximately 100 meters (about 300 feet) of walking over uneven, cobbled, and occasionally unpaved surfaces. Guests should be able to negotiate inclines and stand for periods during the workshop. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair. Lightweight, comfortable clothing and flat are recommended. The menu is based on locally sourced seasonal ingredients and may vary. Vegetarian, lactose-free and gluten-free options can be accommodated with advance notice, however wheat flour will be used in the workshop. Guests must be at least eight years old to participate on this tour. Guests must be at least 18 years old to consume alcoholic beverages. Space is limited; reserve the tour in advance to ensure your participation.
