Depart the pier and travel for approximately one hour drive to Somerset, Lourensford Wine Estate. One of the world’s most beautiful wine estates. Established by Governor Willem Adriaan van der Stel in 1709, Lourensford has a proud history as a world-class fruit farm and the wealth of glorious Proteas point to their rich floral heritage.

Stellenbosch Orientation Drive Through Tour
On the way to Boschendal Estate, enjoy a brief orientation drive through Stellenbosch. The second oldest town in South Africa, founded by Simon van der Stel in 1679 and renowned for its Cape Dutch buildings, university, rugby and wines, Stellenbosch lies in a fertile valley surrounded by vineyards, orchards and mountains. It is an academic and farming community and one of the best preserved towns in South Africa. The town became known as the City of Oaks or Eikestad in Afrikaans and Dutch due to the large number of oak trees that were planted by its founder, to grace the streets and homesteads.
Boschendal Wine Estate and Homemade Picnic Lunch
Arrive at Boschendal Wine Estate for your picnic lunch. Indulge in your freshly made picnic basket consisting of the natural farm produce including freshly baked bread, green salads from their Werf Food Garden, free-range, handmade charcuterie cuts from the Boschendal Butchery, homemade preserves, and their celebrated desserts.
After an approx one - hour drive, return to the pier along the N2 National Road.
