DAY TWO - Tuesday, January 14, 2025 - Siem Reap/Da Nang
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the Angkor Wat Temple, an UNESCO World Heritage Site
After breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide and depart for the short drive to the magnificent Angkor Wat Temple, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once the capital of the Khmer Empire from 800 A.D. to approximately 1200 A.D., Angkor spans an area of approximately 40 miles (about 63 kilometres). The city and its famous temples were abandoned in the early-15th century and remained unknown to the outside world until 1860, when a French botanist stumbled upon them in the jungle overgrowth. Today, travellers flock to Angkor to see this spectacular temple city, which is rated among the world's premier architectural gems.
Take a guided walking tour of the Angkor Wat Temple
The national symbol and highlight of any visit to Cambodia, the Angkor Wat Temple is a unique and stunning blend of spirituality and symmetry, and an enduring example of man's devotion to his gods. Angkor Wat is the largest, best-preserved, and, undoubtedly, most breath-taking of the monuments of Angkor, and reputedly the largest religious structure in the world. During your guided visit, marvel at its sheer scale, beautifully proportioned layout, and the delicate artistry of its carvings.
After check-out and lunch, transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Da Nang
Next, re-board your coach and transfer back to the hotel for check-out and lunch. After lunch, meet your guide and depart for the short drive to Siem Reap Airport for check-in and your scheduled, approximately one-hour, 55-minute afternoon Cambodia Angkor Air flight (#K6840), departing at approximately 2:55 p.m. and arriving in Da Nang at approximately 4:50 p.m. (Please be advised that flights may be changed by the local supplier at any time, and without our control, due to operational reasons. The final flights' details will be confirmed once on-board).

Upon arrival at Da Nang Airport and after passport and visa formalities, meet your guide and transfer to the Grand Mercure Da Nang Hotel for check-in and dinner at the hotel.
Dinner is at the hotel.
Overnight accommodations in a Deluxe Room at the Grand Mercure Da Nang - Da Nang
DAY THREE - Wednesday, January 15, 2025 - Da Nang/Hoi An/Chan May
After breakfast and check-out, depart for a visit to the Cham Museum
After breakfast at the hotel and check-out, meet your guide and depart for the short drive to the Cham Museum. This rather primitive, yet altogether charming, open-air museum boasts an extensive array of Cham artefacts. The museum's more than 300 pieces are displayed outdoors, which proves to be an appropriate space for its collection of temple decorations and sandstone sculptures. The exhibits represent four time periods and are named after the geographic regions where the pieces were found.
Take a guided stroll through the ancient river-town of Hoi An, an UNESCO World Heritage Site
Next, re-board your coach and head to the lovely ancient river-town of Hoi An, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival at this pretty little town, head to Hoi An Square. From here, take a scenic walking tour along the town's colourful streets, which have remained largely unchanged for centuries. Highlights of your visit include a guided visit to the Hoi An Museum and stop at a traditional merchant house. In addition, see the Phuoc Kien Temple, a structure built in honour of Thien Hau, the Goddess of the Sea.
See the intriguing and beautiful, late-16th-century Japanese Covered Bridge
Perhaps one of the most intriguing and beautiful sites you can see during your visit is the Japanese Covered Bridge. Built in 1593 over a stream, it is a wonderful amalgamation of Chinese, Vietnamese, and Japanese architectural styles. Appropriately, it connects Hoi An's Japanese and Chinese districts. At the centre of the bridge stands a small temple.
After shopping and lunch at a local restaurant, visit Marble Mountain and a marble workshop
Following your tour and some free time for shopping, proceed for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, re-board your coach and continue on to Marble Mountain, the famous collection of five marble and limestone formations that take the shape of a dragon at rest. After a photo stop here, a visit is made to a marble workshop.
Transfer to the pier and ship
Leaving the marble workshop, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 1.5-hour drive to Chan May Port. Upon arrival at the pier, embark the ship.
Please note: This Mid-Voyage Land Adventure involves an extensive amount of walking for approximately 9.3 miles (about 15 kilometres), at times over uneven, bumpy, gravel, cobblestone, and natural surfaces and inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and tuk tuk, embark/disembark the gondola, and board/de-board the airplane, and approximately 60 uneven steps at the Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, and Ta Prohm temples. This tour is recommended for active guests in good physical condition. This tour is not suitable for pregnant guests, guests with neck and/or back problems, guests with heart and/or respiratory conditions, guests prone to motion sickness, guests with a fear of heights, guests with limited mobility, and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, insect repellent, raingear, a sweater or light jacket, camera, any necessary medication, and local currency or credit cards for purchases from the ship. Please dress conservatively when going ashore. As a rule, women should never wear anything remotely revealing (miniskirts, shorts, capris, beachwear, and sleeveless or low-cut tops), and men should always wear shirts and trousers in public. Proper attire is required to enter religious sites; shorts and bare shoulders are not permitted. Shoes must be removed prior to entering the temples; we suggest bringing along a pair of thick socks, because the pavement may be very hot. Guests must be at least 18 years old to participate on this tour; minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years old. Guests must be at least 18 years old to be served alcoholic beverages. Guests must carry their passports and ship's ID at all times. Each guest must bring along an extra photo for visa applications. Infrastructure in Vietnam and Cambodia may be basic, and local conditions may be challenging; coaches, guides, hotels, restaurants, equipment, and services are the best-available in the area, but may not be up to the standards of those found on other ports. Therefore, we urge flexibility and understanding as we visit unique, less touristic destinations. The cost of providing a tour programme in this area is proportionately more expensive than in neighbouring regions, as vehicles and guides are brought in from the whole region. This may be reflected in the prices of the tours, and we thank you for your understanding. For your added safety and protection, please leave jewellery, valuables, and large amounts of cash on board the ship. Guests should be respectful towards local sentiments and customs. Photography/videography may not be permitted inside some areas of the museums. The tour sequence, timings, and itinerary are subject to change without prior notice, and airline alterations to the flight schedules may affect the tour itinerary, tour sequence and/or programme content. Space on this tour is very limited; we suggest you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
