Excursion Nordic walk in oulu tour at Oulu

Enjoy a guided walk of Oulu, famous for its monuments and statues.

Embark from the pier for the short drive into Oulu city center. Visit the new monuments center that reflects the history of Oulu. Listen as your guide introduces you to the persons and events of the past. See the port where the traditional long narrow boats landed, filled with tar barrels. View the old storehouses and the marketplace area guarded by the statue of a policeman and hear the humorous stories behind this well-loved figure.

Warm yourself with a hot cup of coffee or tea and local pastry at a cozy café in the city center. Rest your well-exercised legs after the one and one-quarter miles of walking.

Note

Please note: This excursion is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties as it is a walking tour over cobblestones and up some small hills. This tour involves a walk of approximately 2,5 km at the times over uneven surface. Walking Sticks will be provided to guests. Comfortable walking shoes and clothing that is weather appropriate are recommended.
