Traditional Moroccan Welcome

Depart the pier for the short drive to the art gallery and be greeted with a traditional offering of milk and dates, a warm Moroccan welcome, as festive music sets the mood in the background.

Fadwa Morabet will greet you personally, introducing the day’s artistic exploration with enthusiasm and warmth.

Introduction to the Medina Walls Painting Experience (15–20 minutes)

Fadwa will share her vision: capturing the vibrant life of Morocco’s medinas in bold black-and- white sketches. Inspired by the monochrome sketch works of artists like Eugène Delacroix, Henri Matisse, Jacques Majorelle, José Cruz Herrera, and others who once lived in Morocco, she brings her own perspective—a blend of the medina’s timeless beauty and its modern reality. For those who wish, you can add subtle touches of today, as Fadwa sometimes does, like a satellite dish or security camera, reflecting the medina as it stands now.

You’ll use black acrylic paint on a 30x30 cm (approximately 12x12 inch) cotton canvas to create your own artwork in her distinctive style.

Painting Session

With Fadwa’s guidance and support from one or two assistants (depending on group size), paint your own Medina Walls masterpiece. Take your time— this is a fun, laid-back experience open to all skill levels.

Craft a personal piece that echoes Fadwa’s imaginative take on Morocco’s timeless charm, with the option to weave in a hint of modernity if you choose.

Drying Time, Collation & Exploration

Your painting dries in 10–20 minutes, giving you time to enjoy a light collation of water, tea, coffee, and Moroccan snacks.

Stroll through the gallery or visit the unique gift shop, filled with art and distinctive treasures that offer a fresh perspective on Moroccan creativity.

Photo Session

With plenty of time to enjoy, head downstairs for a fun photo experience in both studios—expect laughter and great memories! Dress up in Fadwa’s one-of-a-kind vestment designs and pose against her hand-drawn wall art, then try on original Moroccan attire in the air-conditioned adjacent studio, complete with soothing music and three dressing rooms.

Couples can enjoy a playful, custom scene together, while solo shots shine just as bright. Photos (professional and candid) are perfect for sharing on social media or privately via a secure area on MedinaWalls.com, accessible with your unique code. Prints are included too.
