Valle de Hermigua, Cookie & Pastry Shop, Castellana lookout, Juego de Bolas Visitor Center, Vallehermoso lookout, Morro de Agando lookout

Depart the pier for the half-hour drive to the Hermigua Valley, where you visit a bakery selling traditional local cookies and other sweet temptations. Next, stop at the Castellana lookout.

Heading towards Agulo then along Las Rosas road, enter the Juego de Bolas visitor center. Amid beautiful gardens containing a fine microcosm of native Canarian flora, the center includes an ethnographic museum with several exhibition rooms illustrating the island's cultural heritage, geology and climate, as well as various craft workshops. Enjoy some free time here before returning to the coach to head along the beautiful La Palmita road to two more of La Gomera's viewpoints offering views of the island's contrasting inland scenery.

From Vallehermoso viewpoint you overlook a fertile basin with extensive juniper groves. The Morro de Agando observation deck places you in the middle of three protected natural areas - Garajonay National Park, Los Roques Natural Monument and the Benchijigua Integral Nature Reserve. Spectacular as they all are, the most stunning has to be Roque de Agando. This stone giant standing 1,246 meters above sea level is an ancient volcanic chimney that has been exposed by millions of years of erosion. Commit its image to memory during the drive back to the pier.
