Mr.Vichit Mukura is a Michelin Stars Chef with background in Thai cuisine for almost 45 years. He's well known for being the most authentic to his roots with excellence executed in style. Six days a week, he is a successful Thai chef who brings the most unique and authentic at core with modern experience of Thai cuisine to his customers while once a week he would come back to his hometown where his family lives, Pattaya. At home, he would experiment in growing produces, eating homegrown produces from different stages of ripeness. Constantly getting his new inspirations from the land. One of the things that he's most proud of is growing rice at home. It is without doubt that plants predominately get involved in his every leisure activities at home whether it's a trimming plants or looking for new sign of flowers and fruits growing on each trees. Recently he decided to join his family for a whole day Plant Based diet once a week to give his body and gut heath a recharge. With the current understandings of the relation between plant based diet and gut health, Chef Vichit gets his newly updated subject on health and nutrition studies from his daughter, Piyarat Mukura, whom have received certificates on Plant Based Nutrition Course and Plant Fed Gut Online Course, a course studying about Microbiome and Plants in relation to optimizing Gut Health, one of the studies suggested that 80% of the root cause of all Modern health issues are from Dysbiosis in the gut which is mainly from the food that we eat. This new approach to dietary choice provides a better understanding of how important do plants have to our health and also giving the opportunity for both Chef Vichit and his daughter to explore the new path together. Combining the culture and long history of Thai food and the plants approach dietary for optimum health benefits.


Upon arrival, warmly welcomed with herbal drink and Amuse Bouche. Walking around the property with the host, also learning about local plants grown in the garden. Then sit down for a discussion, Chef Vichit will begin with introduction of his experience growing up in the local, his tips to succeed in career, and the reason behind his lifestyle choice in joining Plant based diet with his family. Next, Ms. Piyarat will talk about the reason why Plants is the best fuel for our body.


Followed by 2 recipes cooking demonstration and tasting. An ideal dish to showcase Chef Vichit's relationship with the land is "Khao Yum" (Homegrown herbal and flowers salad), as majority of the ingredients are home grown giving you a chance to experience the origin of each produce. Chef will have a great opportunity to elaborate on his process of growing Red Jasmine Rice, digging up lemongrass from the ground to explain the differences between homegrown and commercial lemongrass. He will also explain the best ways to use each ingredient for the best outcome component of the dish, not just this dish but this knowledge of food can be apply to other Thai dishes as well. Khao Yum also fits perfectly in term of food for gut health approaching as it will allow Ms. Piyarat to explain the methodology of how each plant benefits our gut Microbiome and our anatomy.


Conclude the Gut Health Program with plant based authentic Thai lunch. Each selected dish will reflect true Thai background with seasonal local and homegrown plants (and keeping away from well-known Thai dishes for the most unique experience.) Afterwards, return transfer to the ship.
