Enjoy a ride by 4 WD on this half-day excursion, to the highest mountain of Musandam, Jebel Harim (meaning Mountain of Women) which is approximately 2,087 metres (6847 feet) high. You will experience some of the most stunning views in Oman including the terraced mountain villages and lush Acacia forests and Wadis.


Your tour begins with a brief introduction before climbing aboard your 4 WD vehicle headed for some of Oman's most stunning sceneries. Stops along the way allow you to gather with the guide to learn about the culture, history and geography of this area.


After about an hour's drive, pause at the Bedouin village of Sayah for photographs. Located at an elevation of 3,608 feet (1,100 metres), the village is known as one of the most picturesque of the Musandam Peninsula. Continue with the drive up the mountain to admire the grand panoramic view from its summit.


The return journey includes a brief stop at the Khawr Najid viewpoint overlooking the Indian Ocean.


Your tour concludes back at the pier to re-join your ship.

Please note: This tour requires an extensive amount of walking over uneven surfaces and a few steps to negotiate. Guests must be able to get in/out of the 4x4 vehicle. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or those who utilise a wheelchair. Tour operates in 4-wheel drive vehicles (closed and air-conditioned).The duration of the drive between the pier and Harim Mountain is approximately 1.5 hours in each direction. Parts of the drive are along winding and bumpy road and this tour may not be suitable for guests who suffer from motion sickness, guests who have neck/back problems or women who are pregnant. Driving conditions may affect tour duration. Vehicles operated by drivers with limited command of the English language. We recommend guests dress smart casual and conservative. No shorts, beachwear or sleeveless outfits. One English speaking guide will accompany the tour, providing explanations at various stops; only one vehicle will have an English speaking guide and explanations will be carrier at the various stops.
