Explore the legacy, culture and traditions of San Sebastian during a picturesque, full-day excursion to this historic city.
San Sebastian Walking Tour, Historic Buildings and Silversmith Workshop
Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 1.5-hour drive to San Sebastian. An historic Colonial mining town frozen in time, San Sebastian del Oeste is a stunning representation of the traditional Mexican lifestyle of a remote village. Upon arrival, take a picturesque, guided walking tour through this colourful village, a living museum untouched by time. Along the way, learn about the height of San Sebastian's early-18th-century mining history, see crumbling, Old World architecture, and visit a silver workshop where smiths continue to forge handicrafts and jewellery utilising traditional methods.
Church of San Sebastian, and Food and Tequila Tastings
Next, marvel at San Sebastian's Spanish Baroque-style church, and sample tacos, tequila and freshly-baked bread from local, family-owned stores. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 1.5-hour drive back to the pier.
Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of driving for approximately three hours and walking for approximately 1.24 miles (about two kilometres), at times over uneven surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes and sun protection are recommended. Guests must be at least 21 years old to participate in tastings of alcoholic beverages.
